How to Add custom Firmware to your ps3 

 

1 Make sure you have a usb put it into your computer

 

2 Make sure you backup everything on it go on to your usb delete everything and

 

3 Make a folder called PS3 , inside that PS3 folder Make a New one call it UPDATE 

 

4 then When you Have downloaded the Custom Firmware you wanna rename it Make sure it Saids PS3UPDAT.PUP

 

5 then Put that file into the UPDATE File you made on your Usb

 

5 Then put the Usb into your ps3 Go to system Update then go to Update via storge Media 

 

6 you should See the update . just install it after its installed and it has restarted you Now have Custom firmware on your ps3

 

How to Add PGK files to your ps3

 

1 Download the .pkg file you want to install onto the PS3 from one of the many PS3 developer Websites.

2 Insert a USB flash drive into the computer and copy the downloaded .pkg file directly to the USB flash drive

3 Pull the USB flash drive out of the computer and turn on the PS3. Insert the USB flash drive into the PS3

4 Select the "Install Package Files" option from the PS3 main menu. Select the .pkg file that is on the USB flash drive from the menu that comes up. The .pkg file is installed

5 Press the "O" button on the PS3 gamepad to go back to the PS3 main menu when the installation completes. The installed program is now on the PS3 main menu
